Card Replacement Applications

Cart replacement applications are submitted in cases of title changes, name/surname changes, card wear and tear, or changes in an employee’s biometric data (such as hair transplantation, cosmetic surgery, significant weight gain or loss, etc.).

Voluntary Card Replacement:

  • They are card replacements carried out upon the request of the institution.

Mandatory Card Replacement:

  • When a change in an employee’s biometric data is detected, or when the card is physically damaged or its information is unreadable, an official report is prepared by the authorized personnel. The employee is notified that the card will be deactivated if it is not replaced within five business days. One copy of the report is provided to the employee to be submitted to their institution.

E-signature

In accordance with Article 6 of the “Sabiha Gökçen Airport Entry Cards Directive,” approved and enacted on February 9, 2023, applications submitted after April 9, 2023 are accepted only with an electronic signature. Wet-signed applications may be accepted solely in the event of a technical system failure, as specified below.

Airport Entry Cards Directive, Article 6-2:

Applications may be submitted with a wet signature only in the event of a technical failure in the electronic signature module. Otherwise, applications using wet-signed documents are not accepted. 

The procedure to be followed in the above-mentioned case:

  • A replacement-related record is entered into the Badge Application Program and one copy of the form is printed. Depending on the type of application, a cover letter is prepared from the Documents and Presentations section. The documents, prepared as a single copy, are taken to the HEAŞ Revenue Office for payment. Finally, the documents are delivered to the HEAŞ Badge Operations Office by the institution’s authorized personnel.

Note:

  • Institutions that have a current account arrangement with HEAŞ / Revenue Office submit the documents directly to the HEAŞ Cart Operations Office for billing purposes.
  • Card replacement applications cannot be submitted for personnel whose Course-1 Security Awareness Training has expired. The personnel must first complete the Course-1 Security Awareness Training refresher.
